Where Do You Put Your Links?
I need a centralized place to put my links. I use at least 3 different computers regularly, and I cannot bear to be disconnected from my favorite internet site, just because I’ve forgotten the link, or have no direct access to the computer where I’ve bookmarked the link.
How do you manage links across multiple machines? Can someone please recommend a good free link collection/aggregation web service with convenient access?
As a stop-gap measure, I jammed some links on Bethancourt World; My Links. Some of the sailing stuff is pretty good. Most of the rest of it makes me realize just how nerdy I am.
I’ve used http://del.icio.us/ for a few years now, it works great. There’s a whole “social bookmarking” side to it that i sort of ignore that allows you to build a network of followers, but the best two things about delicious is that you can share your links across machines, and it integrates seamlessly into Firefox via a plugin. http://del.icio.us/brianpkennedy is my links page if you are looking for an example.

David - I thought i submitted a comment earlier, but I guess it didn’t go through.
I use del.icio.us for my link sharing, but there are also ma.gnolia.com and google bookmarks. They are all basically just social bookmarking sites. I don’t really use delicious for the social aspect, mostly just to share my bookmarks across my same machines. There is a really good delicious firefox plugin that lets you bookmark and tag seamlessly from your browser.

Brian - your first comment got hung up in the spam filter. Not sure why. I’ll give that delicious thing a try. This new fangled interweb thingee seems like it’s gonna stick around.
