People don’t usually send me jokes or funny pictures via email. Probably because, when they do, I typically reply asking to opt out of their spam list. The upside of this rude behaviour is that when someone does send me something, it’s seriously friggin funny. And at the risk of laying bare my extreme nerdishness, I just had to pass it on:

Have you ever made a tactical error that lost a regatta? And not a little one. I mean a doozie. A big one. Absolutely blew it? I have. Two weeks ago at the Houston NOOD, racing with old friends on a J/24…
We had the lead in the last race of the regatta with 100 yards to go. Only had to beat one boat and we win the regatta. Fame. Fortune. Pickle dish. Yours truly fails to consider the change of course and races towards the wrong finish.
2nd place sucks.
